About MendTag
MendTag is built by one person. I am Joseph, and CloudMind Prints LLC is my company, registered in New Jersey. Here I am on LinkedIn, if you want to check I exist.
Why I built it
MendTag started with a simple question: why is it so hard to know what has already been done to a piece of equipment?
Service records can live in paperwork, emails, software, or someone’s memory, while the technician standing in front of the equipment may not have that history when they need it most. I created MendTag to make that information easier to access by connecting the service history directly to the asset itself.
With a simple QR tag, technicians can pull up an equipment or vehicle’s history, start a service job, document their work, and turn their notes into a professional report without adding more paperwork to their day.
The report is a draft until a technician reads it over and approves it. Nothing reaches a customer that somebody has not checked.
The idea behind MendTag is simple: the service history should stay with the asset.
Why it only does a few things
MendTag does equipment and vehicle history, service jobs, technician notes, QR Equipment Passports and customer reports. It does not do dispatch, scheduling, invoicing, estimates, inventory or payroll, and it is not trying to replace whatever you already use for those.
That is a decision rather than a roadmap. A small company already has a way of getting paid, and asking them to move it is a much bigger request than I am making. This is for the part that usually ends up in a binder in the truck.
Where this is right now
Early. MendTag is built and working, and I am looking for a small number of service companies willing to use it on real jobs and tell me honestly where it works and where it falls short.
You will not find customer logos, testimonials or a number of companies served anywhere on this site, because there is nothing truthful to put there yet. When there is, it will be real and the company will have agreed to it.
Reaching a person
Email support@mendtag.com and it comes to me. There is no support queue and no chatbot — if you write about a problem, the person who wrote the code reads it.
If something in the product is wrong, I would rather hear it than not. That is most of what I want from the first few companies using it.
